Brasov Communist History Tour

Explore 700 Years of Brasov History

Discover a different side of Brasov, by exploring rarely visited neighbourhoods that transport you back to the spirit and atmosphere of the ‘good old communist days.’ Together with your local guide, you learn about Brasov’s intriguing communist past, from model communist city in the 1950s, to leading the charge in the run up to the 1989 Revolution. We also look at life before and after the communist era, meaning that this unique tour allows you to explore 700 years of Brasov history in just four hours. And as ‘beer makes history better’ is our motto, we’ll throw in a pint and some local snacks too, just to keep us going!
